Rufus, or so we've named him...

A few weeks ago at Rowan's birthday party Aidan fell in love with Row's oversized puppy stuffed animal. We mentioned to Kennedy & Tyler (Row's ma & pa) that if they ever found one of the same size to please pick it up for us and we'd pay them back. On Sunday, Kennedy texted me and was excited to share that Costco had oversize teddy bears and she picked one up for us. When she arrived later in the afternoon, we were shocked at just how big it was - oversized doesn't quite do it, huge is more like it (53 inches huge). Aidan was napping when he arrived, so we weren't sure if he'd be excited or terrified but as you can see he loves it and we've named him Rufus. Welcome Rufus, now move over!

Perfect Saturday in March...

1st trip to the Zoo

Our wonderful friend & nanny Karly took Aidan on his first Zoo Adventure on Thursday, March 15th. They had a wonderful day together, Aidan especially loved the fish and bear exhibits. Karly will only be with us for a few more weeks, so many precious memories these two have made together. What will we ever do without her? This will be the first of many trips to the Zoo throughout his life, I'm so grateful his first trip was with "his girl".

Brushing teeth with Mama

One of Aidan's favorite past times is brushing his teeth with Mama. In the morning, he'll walk up to me in the bathroom, reach to be picked up and then point to the medicine cabinet. He watches me very carefully and mimics what I do. We smile at each other over our toothbrushes, it's quite possibly the sweetest thing ever.

No, not really....just for fun. But he loved it, felt like such a big boy.

Bath time with Dada

(Damn) mole update...

Good news!!! Aidan did wonderfully at the doctor on Monday, such a sweet little trooper. After several doctors examining (resident, cheif resident, cheif and student) it was decided there is no immediate need for concern. We have been asked to return to the doctor every six months to continue to monitor the growth of the mole, if it continues to grow aggresively we may need to remove it eventually. BUT, for now we are in the clear and quite grateful. xoxo

Weight: 20 lbs (19th percentile) - SKINNY!

Head Size: 48 cm (88th percentile)

Damn Mole..

Over the last month and half the mole I once thought was so cute has tripled in size. Last week, while I was out of town Aaron took Aidan to his one year check-up (stats to follow) and it was decided by our pediatrician that Aidan should see a pediatric dermatologist. Thankfully, we were able to get an appointment tomorrow (Monday) morning. I'll keep you posted.

While Mama is away...

You can tell the boys are home alone - couch, beer, remote, diaper & socks.
