Nursery!!!

All in one day our Crib! Changing Table! & Bedding arrived! Now, we just have to find some things to hang on the walls. We're ready for little man!

Aaron's Family Baby Shower

On Saturday, January 15th we had a baby shower with Aaron's family and family friends. Laurel's sister Aunt Janet made a very special trip from St. Louis to be in attendance. Mary our midwife was also able to make it (lady with her hand on my belly). I was having some tightness in my tummy and I said "Mary, come feel this!". What I thought was just normal baby movement turned out to be a contraction! I've apparently been having them for a little while now and didn't realize. Also pictured are Aaron's parents the future Oma and Opa - they very much enjoyed themselves as their friends and family shared their very best parenting tips and stories - some of which I will share in another post. We had a great afternoon and received beautiful gifts for our baby boy.

Baby Stuff

This week we received two very adorable baby gifts. The bouncy seat will be most helpful and the car seat is of course a must have - now we can bring the baby home when the times comes :-)

34 Weeks!!!

34 Weeks and still plugging along :-) I'm staying active by going to yoga classes, doing low impact workout videos and my dear friend Kelsie has kindly allowed me to come and use her indoor pool on a weekly basis.

I'm beginning to get things as organzied as possible at work for the months (3) that I'm going to be away - so tough to plan for the uncertainty of when he might come. Thankfully the college and my co-workers are all supportive and geniunely excited for our new addition.

Tomorrow we have a shower with Aaron's family and family friends that we are very much looking forward to. So amazing to feel the love, excitement and support from those around us who want to celebrate the coming of this baby - our "little man".

Pregnancy Dreams

As of recently I've been having some very interesting dreams that I would consider pregnancy dreams and thought it would be entertaining to share:

: Throughout this pregnancy I've had a reoccurring dream that my teeth are falling out. I looked this up online and apparently this dream is associated with concern for appearance. No surprise since my body is growing on what seems like a daily basis.

: Last week I had a dream that the baby was born and shortly after birth he looked up at me and said "Hey mom can I get a cup of coffee? That was a long night". *This obviously stems from my guilt of having a cup of coffee a couple of times a week.

: Over the weekend I had a dream that I was hiding in Adrian Peterson's closet (running back for the MN Vikings). I was hiding in it because he'd stole my salmon colored Holland sweatshirt and I was determined to steal it back.

: Last night I had a dream that I was at a home in a forested area with LoLa. We were outside with another person and their dog. Suddenly, there were two of the other persons dog and one of them was a zombie dog and attempting to attack us. I quickly grabbed LoLa and ran only to realize there were a number of other dogs that were also zombies and thus began fighting them off to get into the safety of the house. Once inside I ran around trying to make sure the whole house was secure from Zombie Doggie Intruders! ***Anyone have an interruption for this one?
